As foreign as the concept may be, yes the post-coital cuddle does exist. It is an elusive concept especially if your married with children but if you think back long and hard you just may remember a time when it occurred in your relationship.
What is a post-coital cuddle? Well, for those of you who’ve not had the pleasure, It’s when a couple hold one anther for a brief yet satisfying amount of time after yummy, hot, and sweaty sex. You remember those days don’t you? When you both would ride each other so long and so hard neither of you could walk. Those were the marathon days. Locking yourselves up in the house for the weekend naked and bumping ugly’s.
So what happened you ask?
Life. That’s what happened.
You work, play (although no longer with each other), fix dinner, and then clean the house. All the domestic responsibilities of being an adult without any of those guilty pleasures that you once rewarded yourself with when you were twenty-something.
Then there’s the yawn factor. Yes guys, you’ve gotten boring in your old age. I mean really, how many times do we women have to close our eyes and allow the mind to wander as we deliberate on what to get at the grocery store? You do your business, then off you go with out so much as a simple handshake. When I heard that people actually cuddle after sex my first thought was, “Ah how sweet it is to be young and in love.”
It could also be the awkward stuff. The body has changed as you’ve aged and maybe you’re not as comfortable in your skin as you once were. This possibility makes sense if your time together is coming to an untimely end. Kind of the minds way of slowly liberating you from the shackles.
Regardless of post-coital cuddle or not, one should just be grateful to be getting lucky.
