Watch “Barcelona” – Montserrat Caballé and Freddie Mercury
October 6, 2018, we lost one of operas finest.
A live performance from 1988, Freddie Mercury, of Queen, sings a historical duet with opera star, Montserrat Caballé.
“Of all the beauty in the world, none so outshined soprano, Montserrat Caballé. Her voice filled the earth with the sound of heaven. Now, she sings to all in heaven.” ~Shell de Toni
Oh I am so behind with posts! I hope to catch up soon. Have you seen the Queen film? I wasn’t familiar with Monserat until she did that duet with Freddie Mercury. Yes I agree she had an amazing voice. I wish you all the best with your blog for 2019.
Yes, it was magnificent! I especially enjoyed how the story focused the band and their music and not the raunchy typical sex, drugs and rock n roll. If you are a Queen fan, definitely worth watching!
