NaNoWriMo 2015

Funny thing about life; we seem to think of it as limitless, boundless as it were. Taking precious minutes for granted because the next one consistently transpires immediately after the   first expires. Time? Well, it waits for no one. Yet most people don’t give time a second thought. That is, until it’s too late and it’s forced upon you to combat time itself. Can one escape death?  Cheat it and its inescapable grasp? A resounding no implies as time has taken all that I know,     care about, and have come to love. Time is my enemy and yet I have come to realize, times so    delicate.

My interpretation of fate is not as I perceived it to be. Tricked into a fairy tale that quickens to horror one would only wish to read in books, such as this. Accepting a commodity of the rarest kind led me down an inescapable path that has damned my soul, forever.

Time is no longer willing to pardon me, so my story must be quick. For I all too soon will become only a memory, and an ugly one at that.  See, I believed my life was destined for one, when I’m truly meant for someone else who now ignores my explanation of it all. Yet I wholeheartedly believe that I’m meant for him, not the other. As time is running out, I’m saddened by the fact that he chooses not to accept my truth. My true love is at arm’s length, unreachable as I become exhausted in my attempts to hold on. From my lips I plead with God above that my beloved hears me and my words do not fall upon deaf ears.

“I love you,” a whisper escapes mocking smoke.

“I. LOVE. YOU!”
